Detroit Diesel sold 25,000 engines with BlueTec SCR in 2010

Detroit Diesel sold more than 25,000 engines equipped with its BlueTec Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology last year.

Brad Williamson, Director of Engine and Component Marketing at Daimler Trucks North America, said: "We're proud of our chosen 2010 emissions solution, and our sales confirm that our customers have accepted and benefited from this exceptional product."

The BlueTec system uses Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) to reduce NOx emissions and meet the EPA's 2010 emissions standards for heavy-duty trucks.
